THE MOUNT ERMADA

Mount Ermada offers unforgettable views of both nature and sea.

Ermada consists of a 300 m high hill, located in the municipality of Duino-Aurisina. Its easily accessible paths connect various towns: from Ceroglie, for example, you can reach Duino and Medeazza while enjoying the view of the Gulf of Trieste and the surrounding villages.

On Mount Ermada, several years ago was built an itinerary that follows the footsteps of the First World War, which is part of an open-air museum. There you get the chance to visit artificial tunnels, reinforced concrete buildings, the so called “Houses of Coisce” and the caves of Karl and Zita. The entire itinerary is around 5 hours long.

The trails of Mount Ermada are the perfect deal if you want to spend some time surrounded by nature and look into the beauties that Karst has to offer.
